Day 2 - Wednesday

Arrival in Istanbul, Turkey

ARRIVAL IN ISTANBUL

  • Upon your arrival at Istanbul Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel in the city. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and explore the vibrant atmosphere of Istanbul at your leisure. Overnight stay in Istanbul. 

Day 3

Day 3 - Thursday

Istanbul City Tour

TOPKAPI PALACE / BLUE MOSQUE / ROMAN HIPPODROME SQUARE / HAGIA SOPHIA / GRAND COVERED BAZAAR

  • After breakfast, your day begins with a guided tour of Istanbul’s fascinating Byzantine and Ottoman landmarks. You will visit the magnificent Topkapi Palace, the residence of Ottoman sultans for centuries, followed by the iconic Blue Mosque, renowned for its six unique minarets and exquisite tilework.
  • Next, explore the historic Roman Hippodrome Square, and then visit Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of architectural and cultural significance. In the afternoon, enjoy the lively Grand Covered Bazaar, home to over 4,000 shops offering traditional crafts and goods. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Istanbul & Bosphorus Boat Ride

  • After breakfast, start your day with a visit to the Egyptian Spice Market, where the air is filled with the aromas of spices, herbs, and teas.
  • Next, embark on a scenic Bosphorus Cruise, taking in the stunning views of Istanbul’s European and Asian shores from the water.
  • After a delightful lunch, continue with a visit to the elegant Beylerbeyi Palace, a 19th-century Ottoman summer residence situated on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. After the tour, return to your hotel to relax and spend the night in Istanbul.

Day 5 - Saturday

Fly from Istanbul to Izmir / Connect with the Tour

  • On your final day, enjoy breakfast before checking out of your hotel. You will then be transferred to Istanbul Airport for your departure flight to Izmir, transfer to your hotel for Dinner.

What an Unexpected Experience.
 
Although we were saddened by the conflict in Israel that saw our tour canceled, American Israel Tours did not disappoint. Instead, we opted for their tour to Athens, Greece and the Greek Islands cruise.
Regan, our tour organizer surpassed all our expectations as we enjoyed a deeply fulfilling trip following the ministry of the Apostle Paul’s missions throughout Greece and Ephesus/Turkey. AIT delivered a seamless package from the choice of hotels, to the airport transfers, the internal taxis from city to port, the on land excursions, the local guides and personnel at the AIT Greece office.
Greece itself with its rich and glorious history, academia, art, philosophy, architecture, beautifully preserved ruins was indeed “food” for the most jaded soul!! Yes, “an unexamined life is not worth living”.

Grace Pointe Church Greece Tour
 
We just returned from an incredible trip to Greece with a side trip to Turkey. Grace Pointe Church family and friends loved Athens, Corinth, Thessaloniki, Berea, Philippi, and other Bible cities in upper Greece. Favorite of course was the 3 day Greek islands cruise aboard Celestial Discovery – Santorini, Mykonos, Patmos, Ephesus, and Crete! What breathtaking views and excursions! Fabulous Greek food, Greek restaurants and hotels, too! We want to make special mention of our tour guide Eric who blessed us in so many ways! Can’t wait for Israel 2025 with America Israel Tours next May!
